Vaishno Devi is India's second most visited pilgrimage site. Here is a complete guide to reaching the shrine from Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and other cities by cab.
Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in the Trikuta mountains of Jammu & Kashmir is India's second most visited pilgrimage destination after Tirupati, drawing over 8 million devotees annually. The goddess Vaishno Devi is revered by Hindus across India and the journey to her shrine is considered highly auspicious.
About Vaishno Devi
The shrine of Vaishno Devi is located at an altitude of 5,200 feet in the Trikuta mountains, 14 km by foot (or pony/helicopter) from the base camp of Katra. The natural cave shrine contains three rock formations (pindies) representing Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswati.
