The Golden Triangle — Delhi, Agra and Jaipur — is India's most visited tourist circuit. Connecting three iconic cities across 720 km, it offers a concentrated experience of Mughal heritage, Rajput architecture, and living Indian culture. Here is how to do it by cab.

The Golden Triangle Circuit

### Delhi to Agra — 200 km via Yamuna Expressway

The Yamuna Expressway is one of India's finest highways — 6-lane, smooth and fast. Depart Delhi by 6am to reach Agra by 9am, giving you the Taj Mahal in morning light before the crowds. Must-see: Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri.

### Agra to Jaipur — 240 km via Fatehpur Sikri

After Agra, the road crosses into Rajasthan through the ancient Mughal capital of Fatehpur Sikri (20 km detour, worth it). Jaipur — the Pink City — has the Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. Allow 4 hours driving.

### Jaipur to Delhi — 270 km via NH48

The return via NH48 passes through Gurugram. Around 4.5 hours. Stop at Neemrana Fort Palace (110 km from Delhi) for lunch and views.

Extending the Circuit

### + Varanasi — 700 km from Delhi

Add 2–3 days at the end. Varanasi (Banaras) on the Ganges is one of the world's oldest living cities. The Ganga Aarti at dawn is transformative.

### + Amritsar — 450 km from Delhi

The Golden Temple, Wagah Border ceremony and Punjabi food. A perfect 2-day add-on. Drive up via Chandigarh.

### + Ranthambore — 180 km from Jaipur

India's finest tiger reserve. Add a morning or evening safari on your way back from Jaipur.

Cab Tips for North India

- Hire a cab for the full circuit (4–6 days) rather than booking separately each leg — better rate and consistent driver

- Most North India cabs are Innova Crysta or Ertiga — comfortable for long highway stretches

- Delhi–Agra Yamuna Expressway toll: approximately ₹560 for a car

- Rajasthan border tax applies for cabs entering from other states
